Picking a range or splitting the whole document
A range gives you one new PDF holding just those pages, which is what most forms want when they ask for a single certificate out of a bundle. Splitting the whole document gives you one file per page, delivered as a ZIP. Pages are copied rather than rebuilt, so nothing loses quality either way. One thing worth knowing about the ZIP: a page carries its own copy of anything it uses, such as an embedded font, so a document that shared those things across pages can add up to more than the file you started with.
